(3) Ipx7 method name: short time immersion test; Test equipment and conditions: soaking tank. The size shall be such that the distance from the bottom of the sample to the water surface shall be at least 1m after the sample is put into the immersion tank. The distance from the top of the sample to the water surface shall be at least 0.15 M. Test time: 30 min.

(4) Ipx8 method name: continuous diving test; Test equipment, test conditions and test time: according to the standard and the product to be tested. Its severity is higher than ipx7. Acceptance conditions: allowable water inflow and details of withstand voltage test shall be specified. Generally speaking, if water enters, it shall not be enough to affect the normal operation of the equipment or damage the safety. Water shall not accumulate on the insulating parts that may cause leakage traces along the creepage distance. Water shall not enter the live parts, or it shall not be allowed to run in the wet state. Water shall not accumulate near the cable head or enter the cable.
