There are two pressure test methods for the waterproof performance of the test instrument: positive pressure test and negative pressure test. Generally speaking, positive pressure test is to fill the test product with a certain amount of compressed gas, and observe the change of gas in the product to judge whether the product is qualified. Negative pressure test is to pump air to the product and vacuum the inside of the product to observe whether the external air will enter the product because of the pressure difference, so as to judge whether the product is qualified.

This test product is a heart rate meter. The customer requires negative pressure for waterproof test. According to the customer's product characteristics, there is a waterproof vent on the product. We can pump air from the waterproof vent and conduct air tightness test by direct test method. The waterproof grade to be tested by the customer is IP67, which corresponds to the underwater pressure of one meter, equivalent to 10.5kpa, so we set the test air pressure to be - 10.5kpa and the upper limit of leakage to be 0.1. According to the customer's test requirements, the intake time is 5S, the pressure stabilizing time is 8s, the test time is 5S, and the whole test time is 18S,
